Food cannot replace medicine, but some are recommended for consumption to prevent seasonal illnesses. However, if the disease is in an advanced stage, we should not expect any food to cure us.

As a prevention, algae, garlic and onions, especially red onions, as well as ginger, are excellent foods that help cope more easily with viral diseases.

During epidemics, these foods had to appear in the daily menu and be consumed.

In addition, to prevent infectious diseases, it is important to eat berries and cruciferous vegetables, such as broccoli and cabbage, said the nutritionist, adding that in case of gastrointestinal problems, they should be consumed heat-treated.

The nutritionist also mentioned curry and turmeric, which have anti-inflammatory properties, purify the blood, prevent the formation of toxins and normalize the functioning of the liver.

It is also advisable to eat fruits and vegetables, nuts and semolina every day and you need regular vegetable fats and proteins.

In case of aggravation of chronic diseases, it is essential to consult a doctor and not to resort to self-medication.
